Alejandro Malo

Alejandro Malo has taken part in various cultural projects since 1993, both in editorial and technology positions. He has collaborated on many print and electronic publications, and has led workshops and conferences on creative writing, storytelling, photography, and technology. He participated in Training for Trainers, facilitated by the Center for Digital Storytelling and by World Press Photo, and served as the project liaison between Pedro Meyer’s Foundation and World Press Photo for the Storytelling & New Media Diploma and the World Press Photo Masterclass Latin America. Malo is former Director of ZoneZero, and was head of the team that developed the database system for Pedro Meyer’s Database, which is comprised of close to 400,000 registered items. Malo offers consulting services to several photographic archives, and is developing HyperImag.es as a curatorial and educational platform to further bridge the gap between English and Spanish speaking communities that work on photography based projects. He is a recurring pre-screener and juror at Photolucida’s Critical Mass, and reviewer at FotoFest Meeting Place.
